What is Attachment?

Attachment is all about how you regulate yourself and how you navigate your relationship to the world.

There’s a common misconception that your attachment patterns just show up in your family and intimate relationships. It’s so much more than that.

Your attachment strategies show up in your work relationships, your friendships, your inner dialogue, how you make sense of the world, your vocation, how you play, how you cope with stress, your self worth, and so much more.

It’s a way of relating to your inner and outer landscape that you learned in early childhood. It’s automatically learned from our parents, and it continues to play itself out throughout the rest of our lives.

And one of the most important aspects of it, is that it’s an embodied and somatic way of being.

If you’re here, you may be well aware of how some of these patterns continue to play themselves out in your life. And if you want to learn how to stop them, and create healthier patterns, then you’re in the right place.
